This is a traditional Irish ballad that I've loved for a long time. It features vocals, guitar, and my Weber Bitterroot mandolin. As I recorded take after take (it took 28 tries for the guitar and vocal which were recorded together live), I kept stripping away the unnecessary, doing my best to get to the heart of this song and not overdue it.
I'm proud of my Irish roots, this tune just feels right to me.
